Mantom Signing A Possibility

On loan midfielder Sam Mantom today refused to rule out a possible move to Walsall for both the short and long term.

Speaking to Express and Star Mantom said his contract is up at the end of the season and his career is all but over at parent club WBA. He said 'It seems like I`m getting no chance there so I`m going to have to find my future elsewhere - unless there`s a severe turnaround in fortune'

Mantom said he likes it at Walsall and if both clubs can agree on a deal then his current loan deal should be extended.

The opportunity to sign someone of Mantom's calibre is something we should be pushing hard to force through although someone like Crawley or Rotherham will probably snatch him from under our nose...
