Speaking to the Official Site following our win over Colchester, Walsall boss Dean Smith had this to say..

'I'm really pleased that we were able to get the three points,' he said. 'We deserved to win; there were a few hairy moments towards the end, but, on the whole, it was a deserved victory.

'We restricted them to only a few chances and that is credit to our organisation and discipline. One defeat in the last six games gives us heart to take into the busy Christmas period and now we have to make sure that we can build on it and take the confidence that comes with winning football matches'
