Smith Happy To Take Blame

Smith Happy To Take Blame

Under fire Walsall boss said he is happy to take the criticism if it deters it away from his players.

Speaking to Express And Star today, Smith said; "It`s my team which goes out there and plays and I would rather the criticism be aimed at me rather than the players'

"They are aware of the run, everyone is aware of it. We drew on Saturday and still went up a place'

It is do or die on Saturday.

A win would take pressure of the lads going into the festive programme, however a defeat would see us stretch our winless run to 17, with tough games against MK Dons and Stevenage coming up.

Must remind all Saddlers, that the all time Walsall record for a winless run is 22 games....lets hope we can avoid making history!
