Captain Wants McCarey To Stay

Speaking to the Express and Star, Walsall captain Andy Butler has called on the club to keep on loan goalkeeper Aaron McCarey for a little longer.

Butler said "If it`s going well and the gaffer deems it right I`m more than happy to keep him because he`s done well here. It keeps Groffy and Wacka (Jimmy Walker) on their toes. They are fighting for their positions because we don`t want players getting comfortable and taking it easy. We want them to be pushed to get the best out of each other."

At this moment in time I honestly dont think the goalkeeper is the problem. We could have Petr Cech in goal but still conceed bucket loads with the same dodgy defence and midfield infront of him....

We currently have the 4th worst defence in the league, conceeding 35 goals in 21 games.
