Westcarr Signs

We have today signed Chesterfield striker Craig Westcarr on loan until January 5th.

He joined Chesterfield from Notts County 15 months ago and scored the second goal in their 2-0 victory over Swindon Town in last season`s Johnstone`s Paint Trophy final.

The former Nottingham Forest player, who has scored three goals in 18 appearances this season, was made available for transfer earlier this month.

The striker was heavily linked with Bradford City prior to his move to Walsall.

Not clinical in League 2 but we have had many forwards in this mould that have turned out to be important signings...Andy Rammell comes to mind.

Everyone at VitalWalsall welcomes Craig to the club and wish him the best of luck.
