Getting to Know You - Leyton Orient

Thanks to LOFC for providing us with an insight into tonights opponents. The views expressed are that of LOFC and not of anyone at Vital Walsall.

How do you feel you have started the season?
Feel like we've done alright to be fair, better than last season when we were right down at the bottom! It was looking bad at the very start but we've started to pick up and we've looked quite good now, so I think most fans are pretty content with how we've done so far.

Your opinion on Russell Slade and how club is run?
At the start we all wanted Slade to go, with him and his negative tatics... Now, he's showed he can actually not be afraid to change formations and line ups so at the moment he's alright. Definitley not liked as much as he was a couple seasons ago... As for how our club is run - abysmal. Our ground once was a great little ground, with some character and soul and now it has been made a coporate, souless estate. Hearn is similar to Bonser, he doesn't put money in the club despite being very wealthy and only puts it in when he has to or it benefits him (however he did nicely use up the 3 odd million from our FA Cup in 2010/11 season on lawyers for this Olympic Stadium business which was a waste!) That's also another thing that benefits Hearn by the way, try getting the OS so he can sell Brisbane Road off for flats to make money... Which he even admits partly but claims some will go on the club if we got it, which I can't see...

What are your expectations for this season?
I'm more optimistic than most O's fans, as most are thinking we should try to avoid relegation... This league is looking weak and we easily went on a 4 game unbeaten run, so I don't see why we can't look for playoffs! Otherwise there isn't much point being in the league just wanting to avoid relegation every season...

Your dangerman? - Kevin Lisbie. He is very dangerous despite not being in his best form, he has great strength and is a experienced striker who can do clever flick ons or headers, overall a good target man who'll thrive on through balls or crosses from players like Cox or Cook on the wings... Still got a bit of pace on him too!

Prediction for tonight's game - Think Walsall are looking a good team this season, which is good to see with Orient legend Dean Smith managing you... So I think it'll be a tough game but hoping for a cheeky 2-1 to us!
