Deal fails at last hurdle

Deal fails at last hurdle

The official site has announced that midfield player Graham Deakin has gone on loan to Tamworth.

However the site also says the deal which they hoped would be concluded this afternoon has also fallen through. It is unclear who was involved despite a number of rumours. It is also unclear if there is any other options at this late point in the day. It is also unclear if the player in question has decided to go elsewhere or if we could just not agree on terms.

Strongest rumour was the player involved was ex Gillingham striker Carl Asaba
