Deadline deals

Dickie has stated he will only bring in the right players, also stating that he is unlikely to let players out on loan or bring players in on loan at the moment. Quite rightly he is also stating that he is happy with his squad even if no further players come in.

With Merse we would be sure of a hive of activity and the rumour mill would be a livewire of gossip. Since Dickie took over things are played very close to the chest so to speak. The only names to be mentioned are Simon Johnson and trialist Clive Wijnhard. So we will have to wait to see what happens.

So what do the fans want, well in our poll 23% just said they have confidence in what the manager does. Shock horror I don't think that many would have trusted Merse to get a round right at the Swan!!!

30% wanted more strike power witha forward as priority
28% wanted a right back to solve the Westwood debate once and for all
19% wanted a creative midfielder, concerned that we may not have what it takes to break down a stubbon defence.

Well we have until midnight to see what happens. In league Two the main activity maybe at Hartlepool, whilst Bury have a number of trialists awaiting there fate, also striker Mathew Tipton is wanted back at Moss Road (unlikely I think) There may also be movement at Chester as a couple of players may move on to lift the transfer embargo.
