Money seeks Striker options

In the local press and on the Official site manager Dickie Dosh has stated his pleasure that the team are scoring goals from all over the pitch, with defenders Ian Roper and Scott Dann joining the midfielders Dean Keates and Carlos Fanguerio on the score sheet. This takes some of the pressure off the front two.

However he wants more competition up front at the moment we have Martin Butler and the returning to fitness Hector Sam. James Constable in his first full season as a pro whilst having an eye for goal still has a lot to learn. Otherwise we have wide men who could do a job ie Tony Bedeau, Carlos Fanguerio and Ishmel Demontagnac. So there is a need in the ideal world for an out and out striker. However fast healing Alex Nicholls has already shown in training that he maybe the solution. Dickie Dosh has been quoted as saying...

"We have healthy competition throughout the squad, but I would like to bring in another striker if we can find one.

We are expecting to have Alex Nicholls back in action around the middle of September, so maybe he could be that man.

There have also been one or two enquiries from clubs wanting to take some of our youngsters out on loan, but at the moment I feel that it is important to keep the whole group together so I can find out what they can and can`t do.

I will not be letting anyone go out on loan until we have played at least four reserve games and similarly I don`t intend to bring anyone in on loan at this stage."

So nothing will happen unless we can get the right man, a refreshing approach following the Merse if he has a pulse I will sign him on loan era.
