First we caught up with Addick Louis Jay.. (@louisjay92)
Is your season going as well as you expected so far?
I expected us to do well, top 6 was always the minimum expectation. I don't think anybody expected us to stomp it as much as we have. Some of the football we are playing is absolutely brilliant and the signings Chris Powell has made have been a breath of fresh air at the valley.
Highlights of the season so far?
It's tough to pick some because the season as a whole has been one big highlight. I would have to go with Johnnie Jacksons free kicks to get us 2 wins over the Sheffield sides, both so perfect and the euphoria after the goals was absolutely immense. Another small highlight would be Bradley Wright-Phillips ending his goalles streak in front of 25,000+ against Stevenage, you could literally feel the weight lifted off his shoulders as it went in.
Who are your key players in your opinion?
Yann Kermorgant, Chris Solly an Rhys Wiggins have all been so good and so consistent all season, same goes for Michael Morrison and Johnnie Jackson. But the squad Chris Powell has built is exactly that, a squad. We've had injuries, goalless streaks and a handful of dyer performances and we are still top so it would be difficult and unfair to single out key players.
Will you be attending the game?
I will! I made sure I booked it off work a long time ago because I had a feeling it would be about now where we could start trying to secure promotion so I booked the last 6 home games off. I hope it's worth it.
Performance and score predictions?
I think with Walsall trying to cover their own necks they won't do what most teams do and come here to play for a point. Walsall have a point to prove so I think you will come at us with some force and it will be nice to see that for a change. Only a few teams have done that such as Huddersfield and Sheffield United, we beat them both so I see us getting the win here. We won't talk about what happened with Notts County though! I reckon we'll win 3-1, but without Danny Hollands orchestrating the midfield we might struggle to get a foothold in the game from the start.
A big thank you to Louis.
Next up we caught up with Tom Jordan(@tomcafc)
Is your season going as well as you expected so far?
Yes, i must admit i did expect us to be a strong side in the division, with us signing over 20 players i wasnt expecting us to gel right away but i was confident of us being at the top end of the league.
Highlights of the season so far?
There has been a few! Beating both Sheffield clubs at their own grounds was fantastic and also bieng the first team to beat Huddersfield and stop there record was a good point.
Who are your key players in your opinion?
It will be hard not to mention Bradley Wright Phillips, with him scoring over 20 goals this year he has been our star man, but he has done this with the help of many players such as Yann Kermogant, aswell as our skipper Johnnie Jackson who has chipped in with a fair few goals.
Will you be attending the game?
Yes i will be, ive been a season ticket holder for over 10 years and havent missed a home game for a while so i will be there yes.
Performance and score predictions?
Performance and score predictions?
I went to the corresponding fixture up at Walsall and you look a decent team, and lately seem to have picked up some form with a very talented player Emanuele Ledesma chipping in with some vital goals. Although i think us at home will be to strong and ill go for a 2-0 for charlton.
A big thank you to both and all the best for the rest of the season.
