News: Manny Smith Charged by FA

Following the well documented issue of Manny Smith's comments on Twitter towards fan Kevin Paddock, The FA have dealt out punishment to Smith.

The homophobic comment was reported to the club and the FA and the club dealt with Smith internally.

The FA meanwhile is seemingly beginning to make a stand against any form of homophobia/discrimination and have handed out a 'four figure sum' as a fine according to The Express And Star.

Smith was not the only player to be punished in the hearing although the others were all not connected to to Walsall FC.

Smith has missed the last three games for The Saddlers, although the club claims this is for footballing reasons, either way smith could struggle to regain a place as under the stewardship of Andy Butler an Olly Lancashire, Walsall have had three clean sheets in a row.
