Super Swift on their impression of our defeat to Dagenham and Redbridge last night.
We are the super saddlers!
We, as a club have seen many highs and lows over the years, many exciting times and many exiting players, some who have gone on to great things. We have always been that little club that everybody likes, all other supporters in the Midlands always say to me: 'I always check the walsall result on a saturday.'
So why can we not get people to our games? Is it because of the area we are situated in? People have got Wolves,Albion,Villa and the Blues to choose from, or is that another relegation battle is losing its excitment?
I do not blame the club for our current league status! There just isnt money to throw at it and if there was, lets face it, we are hardly going to attract Messi and Ronaldo!
For me,imagine being Andy Butler the valiant, brave lion hearted defender who leads our boys on the sacred Bescot pitch every week to see less than 2,000 attending! Iit must be heartbreaking,Claude Gnapka is used to seeing more in attendence whilst at non league Luton Town. What im saying is we need to make our ground a fortress again, a ground teams don't want to travel to, a difficult place to come and maybe our support will echo through our starting 11!
Preston at home earlier this season their away support made us look daft! We managed to come away with a 1-0 victory thanks to some terrific goalkeeping from Wacka!
In close, we are never going to experience a Man City style take over,we may never see the dizzy heights of the Championship again, but we need to thankful for the club we have got! Look at poor Plymouth and lets face it, if they hadn't of had their 10 points deduction last season that could well be us.
Lets get behind our club! Not for Bonser, not for club revenue, or even Dean Smith, but for the lads that put on our shirt every week.
Stay in league 1 this year and maybe look foward to a derby game with coventry next year
DOWN THE WENDSBURY ROAD TO SEE THE WALSALL ACES!
Super swift!
