Lancashire: We deserved point at Boro

After Walsall drew 0-0 away to Stevenage at the weekend, Lancashire has praised their defensive Saddler efforts for the point.

Saddlers have been on the slide recently and it was vital that they took at least something from the high-flying newly promoted outfit.

Lancashire told the official site: 'I felt that we defended well as a unit and deserved to get something out of the game.'

The 22 year old has come into the team in recent weeks and started the last 3 games.

'It was pleasing that we were able to restrict Stevenage to mainly long-range efforts; we've done that in recent weeks but shots have been flying in, so it was nice that we were able to keep a clean sheet.'He concluded.

Where from here? No one knows! I just pray Walsall can keep nicking points and goals to lift them to safety.

Up The Saddlers!
