Preview: Exeter City Vs Walsall

Walsall take on Exeter City tomorrow at St James Park in the FA Cup first round.

The two sides met only recently at home, ending in a disappointing 2-1 defeat for the Saddlers.

Exeter lie in 19th place in League One, only 1 place above the Saddlers and have 2 wins, 1 loss and 2 draws in their last five games.

Saddlers will be without the injured Darryl Westlake (ankle) and Adam Chambers, who faces a lengthy layoff with a broken foot.

Walsall will be hoping to progress further into the FA Cup, after they exited the second round of the JPT on penalties to Rochdale and crashed out of the Carling Cup in the first round to Middlesbrough. They made it to the second round of the FA Cup last year, falling to a 1-0 defeat after a poor performance at a freezing Torquay United.

I think it will be a difficult tie but last week's battling performance against the odds at Huddersfield, earning a draw, shows the Saddlers are well capable. I'm going for Exeter 1-2 Walsall.

Up The Saddlers!
