To Wing or not To Wing for Nicholls

To Wing or not To Wing for Nicholls

Alex Nicholls has told the official site that it was as a winger that he saw himself this season, but has proven himself wrong by scoring 3 in the striker position this season.

Alex Nicholls is yet to cement himself in the first team and decided this season he was going to concentrate on the wing, but his recent form has given him food for thought.

'That really is the irony!...I came back for this season thinking.. 'forget this striker business, I'm going to concentrate on playing on the wing'. He told to the OS.

However, he is not getting carried away up front.

I've been pleased with how I've done lately but all I've done is got a few goals in the last few weeks. It's about keeping my performances and goal ratio up...I'd swap a few of my goals for wins for the team to be honest.' He added.

Alex Nicholls chipping in his goals has earned the Saddlers four out of fourteen points so far this season, so he is making a pleasing contribution to the Saddlers.

We hope to see Nicholls name on the scoresheet for many more games this season!

Up The Saddlers!
