Signing to be announced

Signing to be announced

It may not be rocket science but Thursday or Friday morning will see the official unvailing of another signing, it may also be used to unvail Alan Picken at the same time.

It is unclear who will be the new man as various names have poped up over the last couple of days. One name strongly linked has been the Man Utd youngster Lee Martin who played against us in pre season and also featured in the Man Utd game against Celtic. Having spent time at Royal Antwerp last season his experience is greater than it looks at first, and he has the pace and skill which Richard Money is seeking. It has been rumoured that he has been spotted at Bescot as well. However if he has it was a very good spot since not many people would spot a Man Utd reserve out and about in day to day clothes. Also I would expect Lee's own expectations would like him to play at a higher level than the Saddlers. If Richard can pull this one off it would be a major coupe. However I can not see it, Richards current trick of playing his cards close to his chest and pulling a name out of a hat which suprises us all seems to be the order of the day. So perhaps the rumours about former Port Vale man Levi Reid who finished last season at Stafford rangers could be nearer the mark.
