Refresh: Squad announced for 2011/2012 season:

Walsall FC released the list of squad numbers today and boasts 14 additions from the beginning of last season.

There are:
8 New signings in close season
3 who arrived during last season - Jimmy Walker, Jon Macken and Andy Butler
3 New professionals - Connor Deards, Joey Butlin and Jake Jones.
8 Originals - Darryl Westlake, Oliver Lancashire, Manny Smith, Will Grigg, Richard Taundry, Jamie Paterson, Alex Nicholls and George Bowerman.

The squad members are:

1.JIMMY WALKER - Goalkeeper

2.DARRYL WESTLAKE - Right Back

3. MAT SADLER - Left Back

4.ANDY BUTLER - Left Back

5.OLIVER LANCASHIRE - Centre Back

6.MANNY SMITH - Centre back

7. ADAM CHAMBERS - Midfield

8.RYAN JARVIS - Striker

9.WILL GRIGG - Striker

10.JON MACKEN - Striker

11.KEVAN HURST - Left Wing

12. LEE BEEVERS - Midfield/Defender

14. RICHARD TAUNDRY - Right Midfield

15. JAMIE PATERSON - Striker/Midfield

16. ALEX NICHOLLS - Striker/Right Wing

17. GEORGE BOWERMAN - Striker

18. CLAUDE GNAKPA - Right Wing

19. ANTON PETERLIN - Midfielder

20. JAKE JONES - Left Wing

21. DAVID GROF - Goalkeeper

22. JOEY BUTLIN - Striker

23. CONNOR DEARDS - Striker

Saddlers have also lost a notable 11 out of 19 squad members since the beginning of last season: Jon Brain, Aaron Lescott, Clayton McDonald, Steve Jones, Matthew Richards, Darren Byfield, Paul Marshall, Alex Hickman, Julian Gray, Sean Geddes and David Bevan.

So There It Is! There's plenty of scope to build but it's actually looking quite healthy!

Saturday can't come quick enough to travel to Port Vale for the final preseason game, so the season can hurry up and just start already!
