Matthew Richards signs for Shrewsbury Town

Midfielder Matthew Richards has signed a 2 year deal at league 2 side Shrewsbury Town.

The Shrews made it to the playoffs last season after finishing a very respectable fourth, but lost to Torquay United for a place in the final.

The 26 year old was offered a new contract by the Saddlers but a mixture of reasons led him to moving to the Shropshire club.

He trained with them last week and played 80 minutes in their 2-0 win over Wolves last Friday.

Good Luck to him, it's a shame that things didn't work out at the Banks's but I hope he does as good job at Shrewsbury as he did for the Saddlers!

Up The Saddlers!
