Preseason taking shape

The League One season came to a close this afternoon with a stunning 3-0 Peterborough victory over Huddersfield in the playoff final and the Saddlers are busy already planning their preseason calender for the 2011/2012 season.

The team will meet back up in early July and five pre-season matches have already been confirmed.

The action will begin when local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa pay a visit to the Banks's on July 19th and 21st respectively.

A reserve U21 squad will then make the trip to Nuneaton Town on 23rd July.

Cheltenham Town away awaits on 26th July before the Saddlers visit Port Vale on 30th July.

The fixtures for the new season will be announced on June 17th.

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer break!
