'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Martin Butler speaks up

In the express and Dingle, Martin Butler has stated how pleased that he was to return to Bescot and to get off the mark with his first goal in a Saddlers shirt for some time against WBA on saturday. However what seems to be most pleasing was the warm response he got from the Bescot faithful. Martin is quite open about the fact that the welcome he has received in previous visits in Reading and Rotherham shirts has been more hostile than welcoming!!!

The experienced striker also feels that the squad is comming together well and expects us to make an impression at the right end of the table this season. He also sees a lot of promise in the Saddlers youngsters. He hopes that the older heads will be able to a guiding influence on the those whom he feels have a great future in the game.
