'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Happy Friday! Butler signs 2 year deal!

Much loved Andy Butler today signed a 2 year deal, keeping him at the Banks's till 2013.

The 27 year old was previously out of contract since leaving Huddersfield in the 2009/2010 season and joined Walsall in November last year. He has been the rock of the back four ever since, guiding the team to the Great Escape.

Dean Smith told the official site: 'He's a very popular figure both amongst the fans and in the dressing room. He leads by example and is a player with great ability and an attitude to match.'

'It's great to have my future sorted out, i've loved every minute of my time at Walsall, the fans took to me straight away and to captain the side has been a real honour.' Butler added.

Great News, Butler was the shining star of the season, putting in 100% every game, all game.

Welcome, AndyButlerBrilliant!

p.s He was a Chris Hutchings acquisition!
