Walsall is waking up and resting a little easier today after clinching long awaited survival in League One.
The Walsall players and fans alike took to Twitter to share in the joy. If you're not on Twitter, get on it! Or at least search their player usernames to take a look! @Richo03, @butlerandy, @MrTomWilliams, @olly_lancashire, @darrenbyfield, @aaronlescott, @clay_mcdonald and of course @VitalWalsall!
Goalie hero Walker was one of the first to talk to the main site after the match, saying: 'I must say that both sets of supporters were great today and we're just going to enjoy this achievement. It's why we are in this game and you have to savour these moments...I am so pleased for everyone connected to the club.... I just wanted to do my best and help us move up the table. We've done that and it's so special.'
Walker has been an amazing help to Walsall since his arrival in October, saved a goalkeeping crisis and brought a calmness and leader to the back four. Despite the 3-1 loss yesterday, he still pulled off some impressive fingertip saves. Thankyou Jimmy!
Next up we have news on who will be offered new contracts and the potential loaness that we can get under our belt for next season.
And Breath! It's a Beautiful Day!
