'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Smith says enjoy yourself!

Buzzing gaffer Dean Smith has urged his players to enjoy the final day showdown with Southampton on Saturday.

Walsall are the favourites to beat the drop, but Dagenham and Redbridge are also within touching distance.

"They should enjoy playing football on occasions like this because it`s the last game of the season and there`s something on it.' Smith told the official site.

He declared his team ready for the big game and now the countdown has really begun to the end of an epic season for the Saddlers.

He added: '"We plan and prepare for every game but what they have got to do is perform when they get out there.'

The Saddlers shone in the last home game and more of the ambition and energy they displayed is required. Southampton are unlikely to rest on their laurels as the Addicks did so Walsall will have to do a little bit extra to guarantee survival.

The adrenaline is pumping!

Up The Saddlers!
