Dean Smith clued up on players
The club is in safe hands, as Dean Smith says he knows his best players for the job of survival.
He told the Express and Star: 'Knowing how to handle them is part of my job and I know the ones who are ready and who you can trust....we see the players every day and I know what each one is about now — mentally, physically, technically and tactically.'
The 40 year old has cut a keen figure at the Banks's through his 23 game reign and has accumulated 28 points in that time.
He added: 'It would have been nice to win (over easter) but we`re probably in the best position we`ve been in in the league since September..it`s a great stride from where we were in January.'
After tomorrow's clash with Charlton, the Saddlers could be in a variety of positions given their and those under them results. So it's a case of watching this space and praying.
Smith concluded: 'But we can`t lose focus on our job and that`s to get three points against Charlton."
