Deeney snubs Saddlers

Deeney snubs Saddlers

Having been quoted in the local press last night as wanting to be a Saddler, the former Brewer has decided to go back to his roots and join Notts County.

Last night he said'I have some offers from elsewhere but I'm not looking beyond Walsall at the moment,' said Deeney.

'Walsall is where I want to be. It's a good club and there would be no better place to get back into League football than here.'

A honest approach is evidently not his strong point. We should have guessed with the situation at Burton with reguards the will he play or won't play saga against Man Utd.

Or perhaps Richard Money didn't feel he was worth the wages he was asking for, perhaps we will never know, the only thing for certain is the search goes on for new players.
