Saddlers in reserve

Walsall reserves will start with a home fixture against Port Vale on Tuesday 15th August with a 7pm kick off.

Next Season Walsall reserves will be playing in the Pontin's Holiday League Division One Central, where we will be competing against Barnsley, Birmingham City, Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Port Vale, Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury, Stoke and West Brom.

This restructure follows the complaints by a number of clubs about the travel and expenditure involved in traveling to fixtures under the previous structure. In fact at one point last pre season Walsall actually pulled out of the reserve league and stated that they would organise a number of reserve friendly games instead. Of course this failed to materialise following the promise of this restructure.
