the goal keeping position-update

Having set his standards high, boss Richard Money has found the goalkeeping position hard to fill. However the very reason is the fact that he wants the best he can get.

A series of goalkeeping targets have been approached and quite a few impressed by the new man at the helm, however the lure of playing in higher divisions has finally proved the deciding factor, as the likes of Oldham, Tranmere, Yeovil and Millwall have all picked up Keepers whom we have shown interest.

It isn't time to despair the one thing we have learnt about 'Dickie' is he knows the type of player he wants. We have discussed the need for a commanding vocal keeper to organise what otherwise could be described as a quiet backfour. He most likely will pull a suprise keeper out the hat, what price a foreign import!!!

Some sites have reported that the ex crewe goalkeeper Clayton Ince has been training with Walsall in an attempt to secure a move, make of it what you want.
