1. Walsall sign a new centre back Andy Butler,27,until the end of the season

2. Saddler reserves thumped Rotherham 7-0 in the totesport league cup, including an Alex Nicholls hatrick.

3. Martin Devaney's injury is not as bad as first feared, whilst Darren Byfield's comeback suffers setback.

4. Disappointing striker Reuben Reid has been told to step up his game by manager Hutchings.

5.New skipper Richard Taundry gives full support to gaffer Hutchings, whilst acknowledging grave league position.
