Walsall draw Chesterfield in JPT 1st round

Walsall will start their Johnstone Paint Trophy campaign against Chesterfield at home on Tuesday, August 31st.

It will be a reunion for Dwayne Mattis, who joined Chesterfield after he was released by the Saddlers last season.

The Saddlers are currently preparing for today's clash against Brentford at Griffin Park after making the trip south today. Ryan McGivern is the only change as he returns from international duty with Northen Ireland.

Suspected team: Brain,McGivern, Smith, Lescott, Lancashire,Jones, Richards, Taundry, Gray, Byfield,Nicholls.
