Port Vale 1-1 Walsall

Alex Nicholls was star man today as the Saddlers drew 1-1 with Port Vale.

The striker put the Saddlers ahead on ten minutes, as he struck low into the back of the net. It was only the Saddlers 2nd goal of pre season, both scored by the young hitman. Definitely on top of his game!

Some tight passing and defending owed to the Saddler lead at half time.

During the 2nd half, Anthony Griffths levelled for Vale. The Saddlers pushed forward their game as the game wound down, Byfield being denied towards the end.

It was a positive display as the season edges closer, the side looked organised and inspired throughout. Well done Saddlers!

Now, for the real thing to start! Check back here for a rundown of who I think Saddlers lineup should be!
