Bevan ready to fight it out with Brain

New signing David Bevan has said that he is not a Saddler to sit on the sidelines, and will be fighting it out with fellow new signing Brain to be number one shot stopper.

He told the Express and Star:"I want to start pushing for a first-team place straight away. "I am a confident lad and a decent shot-stopper, so there will be excellent competition between Jonny and myself to be first choice.'

21 year old Bevan arrives at the Banks's from Aston Villa, and is raring to go since dropping down into league one.

He added:'Having already trained with the club for over a week, I am looking forward to working under the management. I am excited by this challenge. It`s going to be a good experience for me at a nice club."

It looks like an interesting start to the season if his words are anything to go by, lets hope he delivers the goods!
