Vincent signs for another year

Jamie Vincent has signed a one year contract extension.

The defender arrived at the Banks's last summer and has since made himself an integral part of the team during his 40 appearances.

The 34 year old signing a one year extension, as opposed to the two signed by Richard Taundry, Alex Nicholls and Darryl Westlake, said he is happy to commit his future.

He told the official site: "I`m delighted to have extended my stay. I really enjoyed it here last season..hopefully, we can push on next season and I can be part of a team that continues to progress.'

Vincent added that was happy to impart his wisdom to the younger lads, who look to the more experienced players for support.

He added: "It`s important that the senior players pass on their experience. We have a relatively young squad and sometimes the young lads look for advice..it`s my job to be a good role model to those players."

As we tick of those who have agreed new contracts, Rene Gilmartin, Julian Gray and Mark Hughes are yet to sign on the dotted line.

It's one more in the bag. Vincent saved a lot skin last season so i'm relieved he will be with us for next season.
