Walsall sign Manchester City midfielder

Paul Marshall has been the 1st signing of the close season by manager Chris Hutchings.

The left midfielder/winger never made an appearance for Man City, and has spent some time with Scottish club Aberdeen, Blackpool and Portvale on loan, before arriving at Walsall on a free transfer. He also has experience with England at Under 20 level.

Hutchings told the official website: ''We're really pleased to have Paul on board..he's a player who has been on our radar for quite some time and we're delighted that he's agreed to come to us.'

The new addition could be a replacement for Julian Gray, who has yet to sign the contract extension offered back in May.
