Taundry pens contract extension

Richard Taundry has signed a 2 year deal, keeping him a Saddler until the 2011/2012 season.

Last season, Taundry made 31 appearances, scoring 3 goals and made his mark as a key man in the Walsall squad.

Speaking to the official website, Taundry said: ' 'I enjoyed my football last season and I'm looking forward to carrying on from where I left.'

Taundry joins Alex Nicholls and Manny Smith who have already signed their 2 year contracts.

Boss Chris Hutchings, also speaking to the official website, said: ''This is an important signing for the club..I was delighted with the progress he made last term. He is a Walsall lad, who gives his all to the cause.'

Another great signing for the club, who worked positively with the likes of Richards towards the end for the campaign.
