Paul Taylor is back at Walsall after the board appointed him as Football consultant. The position will see him perform many of the duties he carried out in his 14 year stint as Director of football, however this tim around the position is more of a part time role.
Taylor who was rumoured to be under investigation as part of the FA review of agents and transfer dealings, will play a crucial role in re setting the club up behind the scene after the three years of neglect.
He will also be using his contacts to bring in players during the transfer window. His previous time with the Saddlers saw numerous pre season trialists,some good some bad and some that slipped through the net only to re surface else where. However all will be forgiven if the results are another Roger Boli or Jeff Peron.
In the last four years Paul Taylor has built on his 23 years of football management experience, by building a football agent business with his son Mark. This followed a major heart scare following his departure from Bescot.

Lets hope that as a part time post it wont put too much presure on his heart. Sounds like he's a man who knows the club inside out.
