Parkin laments over lost chances

Sam Parkin has rued lack of opportunity in with the Saddlers as he leaves the club.

The 29 year old forward has been at with the Saddlers for just a year after signing from Luton.

Parkin has been blighted by injuries this season, as Byfield and Deeney took the spots up front.

He said, speaking to the Express and Star: I had a good pre-season and I was positive, but I had a few poor games early in the season and felt it was a little harsh to be left out of the side for months on end.'

He also admitted that it is difficult task working hard during the week when there is no chance of playing come Saturday.

However, he is determined to find a new club for next season, adding: "If I have to drop down to go forward I will, because I still believe I can go somewhere and be sometime`s centre forward."

So, do you think that Hutchings should have given him more chances this season? Discuss in the forum!
