Richards revels in return

Matthew Richards says he is glad to be back in the team and is looking forward to playing for the rest of the season.

The 25 year old left back is pleased to be back in the side following an ankle injury he picked up at Southend in March. He made his return against Swindon at the weekend, filling in centre midfield for the injured Dwayne Mattis.

He said, talking to the Walsall official website;'If i'm in the team it doesn't matter which position I am asked to play in.....you're so involved in the midfield, everything goes through you and i'm just enjoying getting on the ball and touching it as much as I can.'

He added, looking forward to tommorow's clash against Hartlepool: 'We're more relaxed and it shows at the moment. It's a nice place to be around but it's just a shame we couldn't put a run together before hand.'
