'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Plan B

With the need for a striker or two been top of the shopping list. Andy Morrell seems to be the number one target as reported on here.

Now there is a rumour of the club keeping tabs on another striker who has been released on a free transfer. A name I would never really associated with the Bescot.

Having hit 8 goals in the last 14 games whilst on loan at Chester City, he virtually kept them up single handed, after the departure of Ryan Lowe.

Have you guessed yet....Derek Asamoah, yes him, 'who' do I hear you cry, well here is some details.

Real name Derek Asamoah
Height 5.06
Weight 10.04
Date of birth 01-05-1981
Place of birth Ghana
Position Forward
He scored 8 in fourteen for chester but has really failed to impress for Lincoln and previously Mansfield. Starting out at Northampton where 10 goals in 27 starts sounds better than it is due to the 85 times he sat n the bench.

But before you get too angry at the state of our club. As I understand it this contact is more a case of his Agent trying to get a trial with the saddlers, more so than the club approaching the player. I am sure there are plenty of other names that we don't know about in a similar situation. With his record at Chester Derek is sure to get an offer from them, which he will take unless he can get better elsewhere!!
