Deeney reprimanded over comments

Deeney reprimanded over comments

The comments made by Troy Deeney were those said by the management to the team after the Leyton Orient defeat, it was revelaed today.

The striker will be asked to use discretion in future and to not publicly talk about comments made privately to the players.

Speaking to the Express and Star, Assistant boss Martin O Connor said:
"You keep it to yourself; the comments by Troy belong in the club. They don`t belong in the press or on websites. We know what the deficiencies were and we pointed them out. From a professional point of view it`s professional to say it in house and not in public."

'I`m sure the manager will take it in hand and deal with it in his way," he said. "Troy has an opinion but it`s not right to air your dirty washing in public.' He added

Let's hope that the players stick together in future and work as a team. We have seen too many times this season players not working as one and wasting chances as a result!
