The Goalkeeping Question

Goalkeeper Joe Murphy who was touted asa replacement for Andy Oakes has today joined league one club Scunthorpe. Scunthorpe had been tracking Joe for the last three months and Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws states that some of the Irish players who knew Joe helped sell the club.

Whether Joe was actually on our shopping list or not we will don't know. However with Danby and Mackenzie already moving clubs there seems to be plenty of movement between the sticks. A thought is released Les Pogliacomi who was highly thought of and at one point seemed destined to move to the Championship before deciding to stay with Oldham, having fallen out of favour at Boundry park his move to Blackpool failed to set the world alight, his release to seek first tem football might be our solution. If he could repeat the form that brought him 19 clean sheets for Oldham, it would be a steel.

I would want pogliacomi at swindon. I have seen him many times and is a good keeper. You could always sign rhys Evans from us, with his big head it would cover most of the goal.
