WALSALL 1-1 CHARLTON

'A little harsh' is the phrase being branded around the media in relation to this game. Who it relates to is anyone's guess - was it us for our brave efforts or Troy Deeney?

Unlucky Deeney did manage to put us in the lead on 32 minutes, but it was a case of not getting the rub of the green.

In the first half stoppage time, Charlton's Akpo Sodje was said to have been brought down by Jamie Vincent, which resulted in ex loanee Deon Burton scoring from the spot to level the scores at 1-1.

The controversey did not stop there. Deeney was then shown a second yellow card for showing dissent towards the referee Andy Haines.

Thankfully, Phil Parkinson's side failed to break us down and we got away with a point, but on another day, bad decisions could have cost us more.
