'Sign Deano up,' say Saddlers fans

'Sign Deano up,' say Saddlers fans

It's no surprise really, but the Saddlers have voted to say that they would welcome the return of former star and title winning midfielder Dean Keates.

Deano is available on a free transfer after having his contract with Peterborough cancelled by mutual consent, and has been linked with a return to WS1, as well as Torquay United.

However, a mere 84% voted yes to a Deano return, with only 16% stating that they would not want him to move back to the Midlands.

Whether there are any truth in the speculation, unlike the Sullivan-Gold takeover of Walsall (try West Ham, hmmmm), I think it is looking more and more unlikely of a Deano return, especially with Hutch announcing that due to the loss of revenue over the Christmas period - which saw the Saddlers report a loss of over £100,000 - that transfers would be very tight.

It remains to be seen what will happen next?
