Pitch inspection for Charlton game

Pitch inspection for Charlton game

With temperatures becoming as low as -5c overnight, a 9.30am pitch inspection has been arranged to avoid the chaos of Monday.

There are over 600 Addicks fans expected to make the trip to the Banks's, so a early pitch inspection is due to take place to determine whether the pitch is playable.

My guess is that it will not be, as the overnight conditions are said to be considerably worse than last weekend.

Let's hope the first fixture of 2010 will be on, as the Saddlers look to battle their way into the top six.

Vital Saddlers will bring you news as soon as we get it.

If it wasn't playable on Monday it won't be playable tomorrow - hope they've brought in some extra heavy duty braziers!
