Hutch left fuming over cup exit

Hutch left fuming over cup exit

After a rubbish performance at Griffin Park, Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings has had the hairdryer out with his squad.

Brentford's 1-0 win condemned the Saddlers to yet another early cup exit.

Hutch told the Express and Star: "If people don`t learn quickly they won`t stay in the side. That`s how it always is and always will be. If people don`t perform then they won`t stay in the side and keep the shirt.

"They didn`t surprise us, we didn`t deal with their strikers in the first half. We didn`t learn from last week.

"You can always take things out of the game. We`ll look at the DVD, go through it with the players and highlight a few things we need to work on."

Walsall's next game is away to Yeovil on Tuesday (KO 7.45pm), followed by a tough home game against Southampton.
