Deeney at the double for triple!

SADDLERS 3-0 OLDHAM (LEAGUE ONE)

Another impressive home display from the Saddlers as well as a brace from striker Troy Deeney saw all three points come to the Banks's.

Deeney scored his first on 19 minutes after clever wing play from Darren Byfield saw him cross the ball for the 21-year-old to poke home.

The second came deep into first-half injury time, where Deeney played in in-form Stevei Jones for him to bury his eighth of the season and surely justify his case to get into the Northern Ireland squad.

Despite some pressure from Oldham in the second half, it was Deeney again who netted the third and his second of the game after Mark Bradley played a ball to Deeney, who showed his developing abilites by controlling the ball before finishing on 80 minutes.

The result leaves the Saddlers in ninth place and only two points behind MK Dons in sixth.
