Saddlers progress in local derby cup-tie

STOURBRIDGE 0-1 WALSALL (FAC R1)

A superb striker from winger Stevie Jones sent the Saddlers into the next round in a tight clash.

Stourbridge were never frightened of the occassion, but Hutch's reds were never uncertain of being professional about winning the game.

Clayton Ince made some smart saves in both halves, but it was a cut inside from Super Stevie Jones after a flick by Deeney, followed by a left-foot thunderbolt that led to the winner on 34 minutes.

It gave the Saddlers a deserved victory, as the quality told with the finishing from Stourbridge.

Next up is Gateshead or Brentford in the second round.
