Cyprus Trip is over

Well as a lot of fans were giving Jeff a hard time for been on holiday in Cyprus. It turns out it was a mixture of work and pleasure.

As reported by the official site the under 13 team has returned from a tournament played in Cyprus. This is a competition we won three years ago on our last visit. However since our last involvement the standard seems to have risen and we could only manage an unlucky defeat at the semi final stage. Jeff was part of the traveling party.

It was understood that part of the trip was involving fostering links with teams from Greece Israel etc, but also to speak to some agents and scouts to rediscover the posibility of injecting some foreign talent into next seasons squad. A tactic which served us well last time we spent time in the basement. Of course the true discription of the talent required is ...cheap it is Jeff after all.

We will have to see if there is a return of the sun tan man or his equal. But if we do follow this path there will be more than one or two trialists at Bescot this summer.
