'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Changes to next season LDV Trophy

Following the the loss of income to a number of clubs last season when the sponsors LDV went into administration, we lost 15k, an FA league working party was put together to re format the competition.
Here is the main points

It will be solely for league one and two clubs, so no trips to Conference sides, Forest fans will be glad that Woking are off the adgenda then.

It will be regionalised into four geographical areas...we always seem to lose out in this area with some strange boarders been drawn up.However this is better than just North and South.

No extra time, ties will be decided by a penalty shoot out after 90minutes in the case of a draw....no late return from far flung footballing outposts.

Clubs have to start with at least six of the 11players been those who have made the most league appearances at that point in the season. So slightly dubious injuries cropping up me thinks

Under-16's look like getting free entry TBC

The football league will set maximum admission prices for each round.

Changes with a view of keeping the competition alive but again I can't see the Football League trophy creating any interest until the final stages
