'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ask The Editor: Gills edition

This weekend sees Gillingham come to the Bescot to try and deny the Saddlers a much needed three points to re-kick start the season.

We asked the editor of our sister site Vital Gills to give us Saddlers fans an insight into the world of the Gills and what to expect from them tomorrow:

It's JonP

What would be a good season for the Gills?

Not getting relegated is our first and only aim. We obviously started well but have slipped a bit since then and we need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

Who will Walsall need to look out for?

Simeon Jackson and Andy Barcham are our best two forward players. Unfortunately for us, our best player - centre-back Simon King - is out injured so we're a bit vulnerable at the back right now.

Who will win League One this season?

I think it'll be Huddersfield.

Have you ever been to the Banks's Stadium (formerly the Bescot Stadium)?

Yeah, twice. FA Cup third round tie in 1999 (1-1 draw, we won the replay and went on to reach the quarter finals), and then the 2-1 defeat we suffered in January 2008.

And finally, what will be the outcome on Saturday?

Not a clue. I'd be happy with a draw.

A big thank you to JonP for his time and all the best tomorrow!
