It has been a difficult two years for Sam Parkin. Injuries have hindered Super Sammy's progress, having shown a lot of potential while with Swindon in 2002-05, socring 67 goals in 14 games.
This meant he moved to Ipswich, where he failed to make the grade and eventually moved onto Luton Town, where another baron spell in front of goal saw him released after their relegation last season.
However, a fresh start at the Bescot has seen a return of two goals in four games from the 28-year-old, and Super Sammy is hungry for more as the season gets into full swing.
Sammy told the Express and Star: '"The goals are going to come, I`m hungry, motivated and the side is looking good.
"Everyone knows I`ve got ability but in the last couple of years it`s been getting it out. I`ve got a clean bill of health and a new club. It`s a fresh start and I`m eager to do well.
"It was a good pre-season, everyone knows all that`s missing from my game are goals but I`m contributing in other areas of the team.'
Super Sammy will head the attack, along with Troy Deeney, on Saturday as we look to end our losing streak with a much needed three points against the Gills.
